An abomination. Uncaring , lacking compassion, neglectful. Shockingly incompetent staff. I cannot see how anyone could get better here. Absolutely not fit for purpose for a ' caring' establishment. Avoid.

i have been a patient on both camhs low secure wards (opal and jasper) and this is my experience. the ward environment - it’s so dirty everywhere, it feels like literal prison. doesn’t look one bit like the photos advertised on the internet. tv on jasper was broken, my whole time there. no phones and that allowed, so it gets very boring. staffing - atrocious. that’s all i can say. pretty much all agency and bank. a lot of them are rude towards you. for instance a staff member on jasper ward called someone’s mum a “sk*t”. very aggressive in restraints and threaten a lot. also at PBC each individual patient has an observations board which there observing staff must hold onto at all times. this includes a PBS which is completely filled with confidential information about the patient. well on multiple occasions, these have been left laying around and on one occasion a staff member handed me another patients one. THIS IS BREACHING CONFIDENTIALITY. which is illegal. therapies - on the welcome pack, it states you will be engaging in DBT sessions. which is a reason i went to PBC but i asked about it and they said they don’t offer it which is completely unacceptable. overall - in nice terms, IT IS NOT A GOOD HOSPITAL.

How this place is still open is beyond me. Staff leave other patients to get bullied, the staff doesn't care whatsoever. Avoid at all costs. They have left my partner without clean clothing and one pair of clothes to his name for over a week now. They then moved my partner even further away from his home in Yorkshire. When I called to ask where they had moved him to they had no idea for almost 3 hours. Do not send your loved ones here.

Terrible hotel. The sauna was faulty, the swimming pool was too cold and I found a corn snake in the buffet. Will not be recommending. - Trivago

This place should be avoided at all costs! Staff are completely unequipped to deal with the real issues, and lack compassion or care to fulfil their job. Bullied, beaten, teased, manipulative care, constantly telling my loved ones I would be admitted for different lengths of times, constant misinformation. This caused my life to fall apart on the outside and I have been left with a shell of the previous life I had. Also now suffer suspected PTSD from being imprisoned here. Not allowed outside, confined to 4 walls with nothing to do - how can this improve anyone’s mental health? Staff are too busy DOING NOTHING to attend to you or your needs. You’re an inconvenience to them. My relationships fell apart having calls dropped or never made, contact denied due to bruises they didn’t want my family to see. Other patients run rampant with a disgusting night staff who lack care about the job to even control those who have serious mental health issues. I had no form of rehabilitation or therapy despite being promised it. I actually have more issues now than I ever did previously. I could go on, this just scratch’s the surface of the mistreatment and malpractice here. Just please don’t send anyone you care about here.
